Perfect Romantic Ideas - Make Time for Love and Romance

Romantic Places & Settings

romantic picnic in a romantic setting

Having that special someone to take with you to various romantic places is one of the best aspects of being in a relationship. There are always romantic spots around where you live, no matter which city, country or continent you call home!

I personally love the first few weeks of fall because the natural beauty of our surroundings creates the perfect romantic setting. But no matter the season, there are always romantic things to do and romantic spots to visit with the one you love.

Romantic Places to Visit in the Fall

Does your town have lots of trees? Most older neighborhoods have older trees lining the streets, and they create the perfect romantic setting for a walk together. You can also go for a walk in a nearby park or even go hiking if you live close to the countryside.

I personally love to collect colorful maple leaves and lay them flat to dry in an old book. Once dry, you can use them in a scrapbook and add pictures of the two of you. Take your camera with you next time you rake leaves and take pictures of the two of you playing in the pile of leaves. You can create great memories for years to come.

Farmers' Markets can also be romantic places where you can grab some delicious local food while taking in the sights and aromas. Hold hands while you make your way past the local farmers' and artisans' booths. Be creative and start planning a romantic meal on the fly. You could also explore the market separately and buy each other a small surprise gift!

Romantic Winter Settings

If you also live in a cold climate, you may not always associate winter with romance...

But there are many things you can do to turn your home environment into a romantic setting if you decide to do so.

If you have a fireplace, turn it on and enjoy a romantic dinner in front of it. Wine and cheese is a great idea.

For those without a fireplace, you can use candles to create a very romantic mood. Enjoying a candlelit dinner is so much nicer than quickly gulping a plate of food while watching the news!
